The Committee
The committee are the backbone of the club, without who we could not function. Each member has their various duties to fulfill ,and their hard work and commitment to the club allows the coaches to concentrate on the footballing side of things.
There really is no better place to start a team than Calderbraes, as all of the committee are always on hand to give financial backing and advice to the new coaches.
Below is our current line up.
President - Stuart Scoular
Stuart came to the club in 1990 and took charge of the newly formed Under 8 side. Having built a hugely successful team, Stuart then went on to become assistant to Jim Gollan in 1994 and it was this partnership that brought the Scottish Cup to the club in 1998 after 13 years of trying. Stuart's next move was to become Vice-President in 2000 to his 'partner in crime' Jim. In 2004 Stuart succeeded his long time friend as President, and has immediately set about trying to make his mark on the club.
Vice-President - John Fallon

Arguably Calderbraes' most successful manager, John is very much the heart and soul of the club these days and an invaluable member. He joined the club in 1992 to take over the newly formed under 8 side and built that team up over the following years to be one of the best teams the club has ever produced. After a season as a coach at Albion Rovers, John returned to take control of the U'15 side in 2001/2002. After winning every trophy available that year, John stepped back to the under 11's and began building his third side for the club before becoming Vice-President in 2004.
Secretary - Derek Scoular
Derek joined Calderbraes in November 2000 and along with brother Craig took charge of the Under 10 team that season. After three happy years with the team, Derek took charge of the first seven-a-side team in many years. In 2003, Derek took over as secretary at the club, succeeding Gordon, and took to the job as if he had been doing it for many years. His organisation skills are second to none, and keeps the administrative side of the club in perfect working order.
Treasurer - Ian Paton
Iain joined Calderbraes in spring 2004 as Coach / treasurer with our 1997's team and continues to do so. In 2005 he took over the job of treasurer within the committee, where he has worked tirelessly to reorganize and update the clubs finances and look for more ways of funding the running costs of the club
Ordinary Member/Child Protection Officer - Jim Gollan
Jim joined Calderbraes Boys Club in 1988 to manage the under 15 side. The following year Jim took control of the under 13's and in 1991 Jim stepped back to help Arthur Donnelly with the under 10 side. However, in 1994 Jim was left on his own with a threadbare squad and no officials to help him run the team. Enter Stuart Scoular, and so began Calderbraes' most famous double act with this partnership bringing Calderbraes the Scottish Cup in 1998. Three years earlier in 1995, Jim had become Vice-President to Douglas O'Neill and in 2000 became the clubs third President. Jim stepped down in 2004, leaving the club with a very bright future. Jim continues his involvement with the club through his work with Disclosure Scotland and is still very much a valued and well respected member of the committee.
Ordinary Member - Douglas O'Neill
Famously described by Gordon as "the best signing we ever made", it is not an understatement to say that the club would not be where it is without him. Douglas joined the club in 1987 as assistant manager for the under 9 side and was involved with a number of the clubs younger sides. However it is for his work off the pitch that he will always be remembered for. In 1995 Douglas was elected the clubs second President and financially speaking took the club to a place the founder members could not have imagined it would go. In 1995 Douglas organised the first Annual Dinner, which has become a hugely successful night in both financial terms and in terms of raising the clubs profile. Douglas carry's on his good work with the club through his role as an Ordinary Member.
