Braes and Disclosure Scotland
Calderbraes became one of the first boys teams in Scotland to sign up to Disclosure Scotland in 2003. The committee felt that in this day and age, the club had to be far stricter than in the past about who they let into the club. The huge task of registering every official was carried out by then President Jim Gollan, who stills heads this side of the club's affairs.
Disclosure Scotland provide us with a full background check on all our officials, ensuring that they are suitable persons to be working with children. It is Calderbraes policy that no person shall coach the boy's or enter the dressing room unless they have been cleared through Disclosure Scotland by the club. This helps us to ensure that the boys who play for Calderbraes, do so in the safest environment possible.
Photographic Identification Badges
Calderbraes Boys Club now have the technology in place to produce ID badges for all officials. This is another great innovative step by the club, ensuring that the protection of all boys is at the forefront of our minds. Over the next few months, every official who has not yet got a card, will be issued with one and will be expected to wear it.
